route channel counts through canonical catalogue

Make sampling-channel counts and LMB lookup derive from the resolved catalogue for both amplitude and cross-section runtime paths. Propagate unsupported map selections as diagnostics before discrete decoding, preserving one channel-id and enumeration domain.
